Summary:
Abstract:
This authors examine children's television workshop's most famous educational program, Sesame Street from the standpoint of its being a public good rather than as an innovative program of uncertain worth. They intend it to be a case study of evaluating research. They analyze the program in terms of its goals of promoting intellectual and cultural growth of preschoolers, particularly disadvantaged preschoolers and examine the relation of this resource and social inequality.
