This report is Phase II of a study of the cultural institutions in the Baltimore area. This phase involves 1) an examination of the public and private mechanisms for support of the arts that have been developed throughout the country; (2) a more detailed analysis of the current base of support for the arts in the Baltimore region; and (3) the development, evaluation and recommendation of a variety of mechanisms whereby arts organizations may broaden the base of their support in consort with governmental and private funding initiatives.
