Summary:

Conference sponsored by the American Council for the Arts, New York City, June 24-26, 1979. Recognizing these phenomena, ACA sponsored a conference on fundraising in June, 1979. However, this one was to be different from the others. The majority of the presenters of the sessions were the top instructors of the United Way of America's National Academy of Voluntarism. These experts in fundraising were asked to give basic, fundamental and practical tools for raising money. The expectation was that the delegates would take these principles and methods and apply them to the unique dyamics of fundraising for the arts.
