Abstract:
I wanted to attempt to determine the following information about the economic condition of New Orleans visual artists: their number, their total income, their income from the arts, and other data relevant to their economic status. This paper describes the result of that endeavor. Primary data generated by a survey questionnaire sent to New Orleans visual artists in 1976 are present in the boyd of the paper along with interpretations and conclusions. (p. 63)
