This report has been prepared to assist Hartford-based arts organizations in their search for suitable space to operate their programs in the city. A special task force was formed (a) to document the specific space requirements of these organizations, (b) to determine where suitable and affordable quarters could be found, (c) to explore what economies can be gained through a shared facility, (d) to determine the costs and potential benefits of a centralized facility, and finally (e) what public and private funding sources could be utilized to finance the arts center.
