The authors present information from their survey of 259 respondents and from the National Computer Conference for the Performing Arts held in April 1980 and sponsored by the Theatre Communications Group on the present and future uses of computers in the performing arts. In the first section, the authors analyze survey data which indicate that there is a great deal of interest in computers as a tool, but relatively little experience. The book contains summaries of speaker's presentations from the conference and extensive appendices.
