Abstract:

This report is intended as a glimpse of the many ways that chamber music in particular is finding a place in primary and secondary music education. It is based on a small survey of teachers known in the profession for the strength of their programs; the sample is diverse rather than scientific. From the survey responses, an overview of chamber music education emerges. This report summarizes and reflects on the experience of a cross-section of teachers, presenting ideas for further research, development, and use. (p. 1)
