Abstract:

This issue of The Journal of Arts Management, Law, and Society is an edited version of the larger research project, Understanding the Associational Infrastructure of the Arts and Culture, completed at Ohio State Universitys Department of Arts Policy and Administration.

Case Study C is the last of the three case studies presented in this issue. This article provides an overview of the cultural exchange processes in the . Particular attention is given to the role of cultural labor unions in alien immigration. It is important to know that the current U.S. laws which govern temporary alien immigration, including immigration by cultural workers, are the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1990 and the Judicial Naturalization Bill of 1991. The author recognizes that related issues illuminate the need to develop a new structure for international cultural interactions.
