Abstract:

The study was undertaken in the 1977-78 school year by the Council for the Arts in Westchester in order to develop a profile of the state of the arts in the public schools in Westchester County, with particular emphasis on how the schools use community arts resources. The Council's commitment is two-fold: to publish the study and an analysis of its results for informational purposes; and to develop a plan of cooperative action for the Council, the arts community and the schools.
