OVERVIEW
Prophesied, a Portrait of Criminal Justice was born out of a vision for a project that would be an indictment of the prison-industrial complex. Former inmate, Russell, and his friend, Yaya, who was sentenced to life in prison, communicated through letters and Russell translated Yaya's words into art.
