OVERVIEW

The #NoKidsInCages project began in NYC to raise awareness of the treatment of children at the borders and push the Keep Families Together Act. 24 locations in the city showcased cages with models of children inside while recordings of real audio recordings from interactions at the borders played.

PROJECT EVALUATION

Although the installations were removed by police within 3 hours, it was reported that the #NoKidsInCages campaign resulted in hundreds of media hits and reached over 89,792,093 people on social media. The project also gained support from prominent influencers such as Beto O'Rourke, Sarah Silverman, Alyssa Milano, and Rosie O'Donnell.
