OVERVIEW

The Katastwof Karavan, by Kara Walker, is a calliope in a carnival caravan with silhouettes of slaves and slave owners. The caravan plays Black protest and celebration tunes. The artists explained music as the bearer of out emotional history and testaments to the survival of our culture.
